Congratulations to Carmen Losmann and her team! 10.6.11 Our feature film "An Island Called Udo" had its big premiere in the cinema Lichtburg in Essen which was completely sold out. Photos of the event can be found here. Next week the film will start in cinemas across the country. 20.04.11 On June 16 our feature film "An Island Called Udo" will start in German cinemas. The distribution is handled by X-Verleih. We´re looking forward to seeing you there! 04.12.10 The documentary "Devil´s Choice" by Monica Lazurean-Gorgan is nominated for the Co-Production Prize of the Robert Bosch Stiftung. The final decision will be in April. The film is a Romanian-German co-production with the Bucarest based company 4 Proof Films. 26.11.10 We finished shooting for our docu-fiction "Work – Unhallowed Be Thy Name" by Konstantin Faigle. The editing will start in the next days. The film is a co-production with Konstantin Faigle and ZDF, funded by Filmstiftung NRW, FFA and DFFF. The German distributor is W-film. 11.10.10 We finished shooting for our feature film "An Island Called Udo". The editing will start in the next days. 29.09.10 Our children´s doc “Handicap In Spite Of Handicap” ist finished and will be broadcated on German children´s TV in October, November and December 28.09.10 On October 5 the shooting for the feature film parts of our docu-fiction “Work - Unhallowed Be Thy Name” will start. The whole filming will take place in Cologne. The cast includes Nina Proll, Hubertus Hartmann and Helene Grass beyond others. 31.07.10 We just finished shooting for the children´s documentary "Handicap trotz Handicap" ("Handicap In Spite Of Handicap") by Jörg Kobel and will start editing in two weeks. The broadcast on Kinderkanal is planned for November.20.07.10 After receiving funding for "Eine Insel namens Udo" ("An Island Called Udo") from Filmstiftung NRW and FFA we will now prepare the feature film debut of ifs-graduate Markus Sehr. Shooting will start on August 31 in and around Cologne.07.03.10 Der Herzerlfresser (The Heart Eater) by Anna Schwingenschuh will have its premiere at the Diagonale 2010 in Graz. The film will be screened as follows: Thursday, March 18 at 11 a.m. and Friday, March 19 at 8 p.m.05.03.2010 Our documentary film project Phantomschmerz Mladic (Phantom Pain Mladic) has been chosen among 55 other submissions for Ex Oriente, a MEDIA-sponsored plot development program. In co-operation with international experts we will develop the project in three workshops, finishing by the end of October. The film will be pitched for the Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival.21.01.10 We have just finished producing a 15-minute episode for Planet Schule (Planet School) to be screened on WDR (Commissioning Editor: Birgit Keller-Reddemann). The episode documents the shooting of a WDR docudrama about Essen's cathedral. Melanie Kuss has been directing this episode. 11.01.10 HUPE Film has moved house. The series, named I Scored a Goal, features all soccer players who have ever scored a goal in a World Cup final. HUPE Film has been organizing the shooting in Germany with players such as Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Paul Breitner, Gerd Müller and Rudi Völler. The production is under contract to Passion Pictures, London. News The documentary Work Hard – Play Hard will receive promotion for young professionals by Filmstiftung NRW. The shooting of KHM (Academy of Media Arts Cologne) graduate Carman Losmann's debut project is scheduled for mid-2009. We are very much looking forward to it. News HUPE Film won one out of ten 2009 scholarships by the AV-Gründerzentrum NRW. The scholarship does not only include financial support but also support for a teaching and coaching program. News The animation project Boles by Spela Cadez has been nominated for the film promotion price of the Roman Bosch-Stifung (Roman Bosch Foundation) and of the Filmbüro Baden-Württemberg (Film Office Baden Württemberg).
